Healthcare organizations rely on technology throughout patient care, administration, communication, and daily operations. Hospitals, clinics, medical and dental offices, laboratories, and healthcare support organizations regularly replace computers, monitors, servers, networking equipment, and other electronic devices.
Retired healthcare technology may still contain patient information, employee records, financial data, and operational files. A&H IT Renew helps healthcare organizations manage this equipment through secure handling, off-site hard-drive shredding, professional documentation, and responsible electronics recycling.
Our goal is to help healthcare teams complete technology-retirement projects securely and professionally while allowing their staff to remain focused on the people they serve.

A single healthcare organization may rely on technology across nursing stations, examination rooms, laboratories, administrative offices, billing departments, and IT infrastructure. Equipment upgrades can leave computers, laptops, monitors, servers, printers, networking equipment, UPS systems, and other electronics spread across multiple departments or locations.
A&H IT Renew works with healthcare IT and facilities teams to understand the equipment involved, estimated quantities, pickup access, scheduling requirements, and requested data-destruction documentation. This preparation helps create an organized plan before any equipment leaves the facility.
From a small clinic computer replacement to a larger, multi-department technology refresh, each project is coordinated around the organization’s operational needs and daily responsibilities.

Retiring a computer or server does not automatically remove the information stored inside it. Hard drives and solid-state drives may continue to hold patient, employee, financial, and operational information long after the equipment is disconnected.
For qualifying healthcare projects, A&H IT Renew identifies eligible data-bearing devices, records their serial numbers, and separates them from general electronic equipment. Eligible hard drives and SSDs are transported to our facility and physically destroyed through off-site shredding before the resulting materials enter the responsible recycling process.
Devices with embedded storage are reviewed individually to determine the appropriate handling method. This structured approach helps healthcare organizations reduce unnecessary data exposure while maintaining organized records of the devices processed.

Secure destruction is only part of a professionally managed healthcare technology-retirement project. Clear documentation gives healthcare organizations an organized record of the equipment and data-bearing devices processed.
For qualifying projects, A&H IT Renew provides a serialized asset report identifying eligible devices by serial number and recording their disposition method. A Certificate of Destruction is also available upon request for devices that were physically destroyed through shredding.
The Certificate of Destruction should be retained together with the accompanying serialized report. These documents can support internal recordkeeping, asset tracking, security reviews, and organizational documentation requirements without making unsupported claims about regulatory compliance.

A successful healthcare technology refresh is not complete until retired equipment has been securely managed, data-bearing devices have been addressed, and the appropriate project records have been prepared.
Tell A&H IT Renew about the equipment your healthcare organization is retiring, estimated quantities, pickup location, facility-access requirements, and any requested hard-drive destruction or documentation. Our team will review the project, confirm pickup eligibility, answer your questions, and help coordinate the appropriate next steps.
From a small medical office upgrade to a larger hospital or multi-location equipment retirement, A&H IT Renew is ready to provide secure handling, off-site hard-drive shredding, professional documentation, and responsible electronics recycling.
